Today's Music Just Doesn't Stack Up

I'm listening to the Beatles. What kind of music do y'all like? I love the Beatles. I love most music from the 60s and into the 70s. I think this era produced, quite possibly, some of the best music ever made...and it is music that will continue in popularity for years on end. Music from those times talked a lot about what was going on in the world, as most music lyrics do, but good things were happening then. Lots of inspiration, discovery, and evolution within society...and people were seeking peace. Something that, presently, doesn't seem within reach. Now society is full of shmucks. "Who on earth do you think you are, a superstar..?" (John Lennon) Yep, we all think we're amazing. But anyway, back to my music preferences. I personally love the Beatles, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Allman Bros, Janis, and also some Marley...the list goes on. Any one else like music from this time? Maybe it brings back some nostalgia for the baby boomers...

  1. I'm turning 30 this year, but totally LOVE music made like 20-30 years before I was born. I love to listen to guys like Elvis, Neil Diamnond, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, etc. Good times!! Oh, and also 80's chick rock, Joan Jett is one of my favorites, too!!!

  2. I LOVE older music. Course I'm from that era. Today my favorite(s) would have to be Dave Matthews (hands down) and hmm... Jack Johnson. In the 70's - 80's I had a crosby stills nash CASSETTE that I wore out. LOL
